Story: This Quilt Square is the log cabin pattern to pay tribute to the log cabin on which it hangs. Our colors are red, white, and blue as a patriotic nod to the Daughters of the American Revolution who have supported The Crossnore School and its children since the early days of our founder, Mary Martin Sloop, herself a DAR. She and others of her local DAR chapter moved the cabin, already a century old, to its present location on The Crossnore School campus in 1958 for their regular meetings. |
